Royal Palm Villas is located at 184 McLeod Street in Cairns city. Our central location is a 10-minute walk from the Cairns Esplanade and 20-minute walk from Cairns central train station and Cairns museum. All major tour companies provide pick-up and drop-off services to Royal Palm Villas. We have secure off-street parking and our 16m saltwater swimming pool, with BBQ facilities, is a great place to end another day in paradise.

Royal Palm Villas is perfectly located for self-drive guests or those without a vehicle. There’s a range of restaurants, cafes and convenience stores all within easy walking and driving distance of the property. The world heritage listed Great Barrier Reef and Wet Tropics Rainforests. These can be explored on a variety of tours, visiting varying locations and destinations.

You can explore the spectacular Great Barrier Reef, on a cruise, sail, snorkel or dive trip. Visit the lush World Heritage rainforests of the tropics, enjoy a day sightseeing the magnificent Atherton Tableland where waterfalls, lakes and rivers abound, or travel from Cairns into the interior to the great Outback.

For the rainforests, there are many options. Take a day tour, which travels the coast road to Port Douglas and then delves deep into the Daintree National Park. Or catch the Kuranda Scenic Railway and combine it with Skyrail Rainforest Cableway, and Kuranda the Village in the Rainforest with its famous markets, for a great day out.

The old school hospitality from the hosts was awesome, they greeted us outside of office hours, let us know where to find shops and eateries in the area, took us through the apartment. We had a twin deluxe room on the ground floor which was spacious and clean with comfortable beds and suited our needs. These aren't the swankiest of apartments but great value for money.

Our room was on the ground floor, with good kitchen utilities. There is a washing and dryer machine in the room. A small garden with a round table and chairs which you can have your breakfast or read a book. Air conditioning was good. The owner took the trouble to explain about all the facilities including getting in and out of the premises. They also arrange an early morning taxi for us.

I stayed here for 40 days, during which time I was doing shift work at the hospital. The management were very considerate of my need for quiet and privacy and always very pleasant and helpful. The level of hygiene is high and I particularly enjoyed the pool, which is pristine.

This is a great family hotel, our room is a generous size with kitchenette, it also has a washer and dryer, comfy bed, WiFi and Foxtel included. Staff lovely and very helpful and has an awesome pool which my 5yo daughter had a ball in. We will be back!!
